Dandara Living is the specialist built-to-rent division of the Dandara Group. We are award-winning developers and operators of apartment buildings designed specifically for the rental market.

Our growing portfolio includes more than 7,400 homes in 10 towns and cities across the UK, and we now require an experienced Assistant Manager to join our award-winning team at Leodis Square in Leeds city centre.

About You

We are looking for an Assistant Manager with previous experience in residential management, to assist in the day-to-day running and operations and at our 744-apartment Build to Rent development in Leeds.

With previous experience in a similar role, you are conversant with all current legislation and H&S requirements, and someone who seeks to continually improve their own knowledge and abilities, with the personality, organisational and motivational skills to develop a market-leading team.

An open-minded strategic thinker with a dynamic approach to problem solving, you are a positive advocate for change; an excellent communicator who leads by example and someone who is always calm under pressure and can quickly establish rapport to diffuse difficult situations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Leeds City Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of key operational and financial KPls, compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements and market-leading customer experience across all areas of operations to make us the number one choice in Leeds.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Customer service and team management: recruitment, on-going management and development of all personnel and operational teams to consistently deliver optimum efficiency and service
  • Building & apartment management: overseeing and ensuring property management functions, maintenance and repairs meet agreed service levels and that Leodis Square is Health & Safety compliant and a safe place to live and work
  • Asset Performance Management: assisting the City Operations Manager with the preparation of business plans to drive market growth and maximise net operating income, ensuring budgets are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Lettings: assisting in setting market rents for lettings and renewals and ensuring apartments, communal areas and resident amenities are presented to the highest standards at all times
  • Marketing: working with marketing and lettings teams to ensure post-stabilisation targets are achieved, and all communications with prospective applicants and residents are in-line with our brand values
  • Resident Experience: support the onsite team in delivering the highest standards of service across all touchpoints from move-in to move-out, ensuring resident satisfaction and resident review KPI’s and targets are achieved.

This role covers a Monday to Friday shift pattern of 8:30am to 6:00pm with out-of-hours ‘on call’ emergency cover on a rota basis. You may also be required to work at our other locations across the UK and attend off-site training as necessary.
